Το όνομα της μπάντας είναι εμπνευσμένο από το τραγούδι των Sabbat "Metalucifer and Evilucifer" (βλ. τον δίσκο "Evoke" του 1992). Οι Immortalizer είναι ένα προσωπικό σχήμα του Dave D.R. και μας έρχονται από το Οντάριο του Καναδά. Ο Dave ξεκίνησε ως ντράμερ και έμαθε - διδάχτηκε να τραγουδάει, να παίζει κιθάρα, μπάσο, πλήκτρα κι αναφέρει ως επιρροές μπάντες όπως οι Motorhead , Judas Priest , Saxon , Iron Maiden , Dio , Black Sabbath , Ozzy , Primal Fear , Helloween , Gamma Ray , Van Halen , Thin Lizzy κ.α. Οι Sartori είναι το προσωπικό του σχήμα, το οποίο κινείται σε νεοκλασικούς power metal δρόμους. Βλέποντας στην περιγραφή τον όρο «Sabbath rock/metal» ξεκινάς με μια προκατάληψη, ενώ ένα μεγάλο “όχι πάλι” πλανάται σαν σύννεφο πάνω από το κεφάλι σου. Ακούγοντας όμως τους Duel σε περιμένει μια πολύ ευχάριστη έκπληξη. Οι τύποι δεν αρκούνται στη σκοτεινίλα και το παλιομοδίτικο heavy των πατέρων από το Birmingham, άλλωστε σαν Τεξανοί είναι εκτεθειμένοι σε ποικίλες μουσικές από όλες τις δεκαετίες αν και αυτοί επιμένουν στα 70s και με αρκετή έμπνευση και ένα ευρύ φάσμα επιρροών κατορθώνουν τελικά να προσφέρουν μια ενδιαφέρουσα και απολαυστική ακρόαση. Καθόλου τυχαίο πως δυο από αυτούς ήταν μέλη των εξαιρετικών Scorpion Child, που πρόλαβαν να μας χαρίσουν μόλις δυο άλμπουμ. Για τους Duel αυτό είναι το τέταρτο. Η φωνή μου θύμισε τον Eric Bloom στα καλύτερα του, ενώ αν σε κάποια τραγούδια σας έρθουν στο μυαλό οι BOC δεν θα σας κατηγορήσει κανείς.
